Ivinghoe Entertainments

Firstly I hope that you all had an enjoyable Christmas and best wishes for 2010. We hope you enjoyed seeing the Christmas tree that we provided and lit up near the lawn in Ivinghoe.

Bonfire & Firework Display 2009

The weather for our bonfire and firework display in November last year was, somewhat kinder than that experienced in 2008. As a result we had a successful evening and I hope that those of you who came to support us on the night had an enjoyable time.

I would also like to thank the members of the Committee who once again managed to put on a superb evening’s entertainment.

Summer Festival 2010

The details for the 2010 Summer Festival are still being finalised, but we have fixed the date for the weekend of 25th 26th and 27th June, so why not make a note for your diaries?

Summer Ball – Friday 25th June

We are holding the price for the Ball on Friday 25th at £55, the same as last year, and have already engaged the services of a band by the name of InDefinately to provide the music.

Catering will be prepared and served to us by the professional ‘Cuisine Excellence’. The doors open at 7.00pm, with a fully licensed bar including real ales, and of course dancing until 1.00am. The Committee will once again be selling an excellent selection of quality wines at reasonable prices with a wine waiter service to your table. Join us for what will be another fantastic night.

Tickets will be on sale for the Summer Ball on Saturday 6th March 2009 at Ivinghoe Town Hall between 9:30am and 12:30pm on a first come first served basis. To reserve a table or tickets, please bring your deposit with you of £20 per ticket (Cheques or cash only, please) on the 6th March. The balance must be paid by 1st May or your table/seats will be offered for resale. Alternatively you may pay in full and your tickets will be handed to you immediately.

Themed Night – Saturday 26th June

We have decided to follow the success if the last two years for the Saturday night event which this year will be based on the theme of the 80’s

We have booked “An 80’s Affair” to entertain us on the night and guests will have the option of dressing up in 1960’s style clothes. Various items will be provided free on the tables to enhance the experience. ‘Meals Matter’ will provide the food for the evening again.

Tickets for this event will this year be £20 and will include a meal ticket. The doors will open at 7.00pm, so why not come along and experience the 80’s. Tickets will be available from the Town Hall on March 6th but will also be sold through the usual outlets, nearer the time

Charitable Donations

Thanks to your support in 2009, we are once again in a position to consider making charitable donations to local groups in Ivinghoe and Pitstone. So, if any local organisation would like us to consider making a donation to them that will help provide and enhance the facilities for the villages please contact any committee member

Chairman – Ivinghoe Entertainments
